Are these Ebay gasket kits any good?
Seems to be good value for the money:

Even this name brand one is cheaper than the Reinz one at FCP Euro that doesn't come with the actual head gasket:

Don't waste your time or money on those gasket sets. Just find a dealership that has on line parts and get the OE gaskets. Minni of Kennesaw would be an example. or you can get the OE gaskets through ECS tuning. Victor Reinz is cheap stuff.

We have some options here, have to watch out on there as those people are not MINI people and they don't know the engine codes or much about MINI in general so if there is a problem, they will not really know what to do. Also sometimes you order one brand and then another brand you never heard of shows up because they just state aftermarket. Let me know if you need anything else.
If you have an 2007 R56 MCS we have some options here: N14 engine.

Don't bother taking that risk, stick to OE gaskets. eMINIparts.com is a great source for all things OE.

There's a reason they are cheaper
Often they are made in china and not worth doing a job twice to save a few bucks.
We offer plenty of gaskets and all of them we offer we would use in our shop on customer cars that we warranty our work on.

Ebay gasket kits are a dime a dozen for a reason. Ask yourself this, is it worth it to save a little bit of cash up front to install them then find out you get to fork out the cash to buy the good ones anyway AND now spend twice as much time replacing them twice?
The last time I saw someone use an eBay gasket kit, the cam seals had the oil siping marks going in the reverse direction. As soon as they started the car it was pissing oil out of the cam seals. Considering it was a 4+ hour job to pull the timing belt and change them not exactly a fun time.
