jammmed a torx bit in the door latch actuator, door won't open
Had a bowden jump the slot and window clip that cracked. Opened up the door, removed window and panel and actuator. Sprayed actuator with a little silicone spray and reinstalled with a bowden "adjustment." Latch worked fine manually when testing with the door open. So I shut it and it will not open.
I have tried manually with a screw driver on the actuator and locking pin. I have tried beating on it to open it. i think I may have lost a torx bit in the lock when i was testing it. Can i remove the door by the hinge? Does that include removing the fender? Thanks for any advice. I'm a N00b so be nice |
Have you tried opening / unlocking with the remote or the dashboard switch?
Does the other door open OK from the inside? |
locks work on both sides with switch, bowden cables pull completely on drivers side actuator
Can I disassemble the actuator from the inside and get it to unlatch? |
