Front Bumper Question 2006 R50

Long story short...the engine guard that connects to the bumper on my 2006 R50 came loose and both the black part attached to the bumper ( see picture of left and right) or perhaps it's part of the bumper) has just about worn out and the part the "U Nuts" extruded (see picture) slips over for the M6 X 16 bolts screw into to tie it all together has also broken where the "U Nuts" are attached. I may be able to repair it with some kind of repair compound but if I can purchase a replacement that would be better. What I cannot tell from both my Bently manual and the online parts suppliers is if this is a separate part or integrated into the bumper...does anyone know?

Well...I've PM'd both Way Motors and ECS Tunning but haven't heard from anyone. Guess this is not a common problem and I'll need to tear it apart to see if there is a way to fix it with some kind of epoxy.

Does anyone have any suggestions on ways to repair plastic parts like this?

The black spoiler is available separately from the bumper, part# 51117127932

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=51_5803

Search the part numbers at vendor websites, or just Google the part numbers to find vendors.

Hello, Just saw the PM.

I had my damaged on my R52. The little nut goes on the bottom of the core support and then the bolt goes through the lower spoiler to the core support mounted nut insert.

Make sure the nut clip can grab onto the lower trim. My hex bolt was rusted pretty bad on the nut insert clip. I just hit them with some grease.

@ECSTuning ...Got my parts in and replaced the lower spoiler without too much difficulty! Thank you for the help. I did find the "Body Nuts 64500630991 to be the wrong ones I was looking for although they were required/needed to attach the two ends of the spoiler to the left and right side trim made of the same material as the spoiler. I now have an ample supply of these (bought 10). The nuts I was looking for were actually like this one...I have one and need two more. They attach the spoiler to the Core Support Front Panel...which sadly I'm going to have to replace in the future as well since the left and right contact points are damaged...although I may be able to repair it if I plastic weld an insert.

Here is the picture of the nut I need...
