MCS doesn't shift into M/S mode?
 

Hey guys, just picked up a 2006 MCS with 124k. The shifter goes into D and drives fine, but cannot go into sport mode and manual shift mode.

When I'm driving in D, if I use the paddle shifter, it does downshift then goes back to D, so I'm thinking it must be the shifter switch going bad, and not recognizing when I'm moving the shifter to the right. If this is the case, is this easy to fix?

Another minor issue is that when the car is on, only N & D are lit up, the other positions are dark. However when I turn on the lights at night, all are lit up. I think that maybe the bulbs went out for full brightness?
