CEL for misfire on cylinder 4?
Hi motorers,
Since about two weeks, I've had a check engine light for a misfire on cylinder 4. I've been three times to the dealer to get it fixed. The first time, they flashed my ECU to V.38. It worked for tow days...
The second time, they reflashed my ECU again (V.38) . After two hours of driving, the CEL came on again...
This morning, I get my car back to the dealer and tell them to call me when they find a part to change. (under warranty of course). Amazingly, my advisor call me later this after noon to tell me that they won't touch my MCS anymore unless I take off my 15% pulley and my intake... The "master tech" (or so he calls himself) opened the engine head and said that I also installed an aftermarket camshaft... (which is bone stock...) So for now, I still have my warranty (good thing my advisor and I have a good relation) and my check engine light is still on...
So there's my question : Does anyone came across a misfire problem? How did you dealer fixed it?
My CEL is always on but my DSC won't turn on often too... I guess the DSC sees a lost in power when a misfire occurs and then shut itself down... only a guess since no sensor are broken...
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
