Driver Door Doesn't Latch
 

My driver door has developed an issue where it does not latch shut. It remains unlatched. With enough tries it will eventually latch. Usually 20+ tries and like 10min and it will latch normally.

Anyone know what could be causing the issue? Trying to lock the car while holding it closed does not make a difference. It is the latch mechanism itself or something electronic?

I would start by trying to lube the latch I would start at the latch

Sounds like you're describing a mechanical problem, not electrical. You can test the door latch by opening the door and tripping the latch with a phillips screwdriver to simulate the action of the striker on the door jamb. If the latch does not reliably capture the end of the screwdriver then you either have a lubrication problem or a bad door latch. If it does reliably capture the end of the screwdriver you should consider adjusting the striker on the jamb a little more outboard. Good luck.
