new HPFP yet no fuel to the rail?
so...My 08 MCS was cutting out like it wasnt getting enough fuel, and then surge like it had full power. I bought and replaced the HPFP and the fuel filter.
THAT is when it failed to start completely. so to eliminate a few things, ---in tank fuel pump works, and is connected to exterior power source to ensure continual fuel flow. ---fuel pump relay is bypassed so fuel is getting to the HPFP, but nothing is coming out. The solenoid to the new HPFP is only getting 9-10volts when cranking which may be an issue, but IDK what the voltage to to the solenoid is supposed to be. Can anyone help? have any ideas? It is a fuel issue not an ignition problem. Car will run when bypassing the fuel injectors by using starting fluid in the pcv tube that runs behind the throttle body. i have read as many threads as i can about HPFP and Fuel pumps and filters ect. |
