Help I'm stranded ! Code p2b64 ??
Well I hope this is the right pLace for this post ( car is not stock ) -
I have an 07 r56 with big ic , cai , charge tubes , turbo back alta , Cobb ap etc Just left the motd ( awesome time Except for speeding ticket ! ) . I'm about 3 hours from home on the interstate and car went into limp mode and I'm getting the p2b64 ( intake manifold leak error) . It's also giving me a cyl 2 misfire but I think that's just the cyl that the ecu pulled for limp mode ( yes I swapped coils around to check ) . And yes I put stock map back in to for heck of it .Can't see any loose boost tubes or anything of issue so dunno what to do . Any help would be GREATLY appreciated ! Thanks guys |
So sorry to hear that you're stranded, could it be your BOV? Are you hearing and noises?

Yes I have an HKS bov , checked it and it seems in order but keep your ideas coming ! It could be a sensor that's reporting faulty info, be sure the sensors are not loose. It has to be the intake and something small enough for you to miss, hope it's not your intake manifold gasket. |
Well we had a 6 hour wait for the truck and trailer so I pulled bumper - ic and tubes appeared fine . Also pulled Airbox and still couldn't find any telltale issues . Doubt it's the intake mani gaskets - last month I replaced them after walnut blast . Will get car on lift tomorrow for better examination .
Don't know if I mentioned this earlier ( been a long ass day !!) but I just last week put on new valve cover as it had a decent trail of oil around passenger side of valve cover ( near the Pcv valve ) . Well the new one ( been on only a week ) has same issue . I doubt if this is related to my situation since the old one had this going on for a few months but figured I'd mention it as I'd like to know what that's all about . Thnk Ill order new Pcv hose tomorrow as I hope that's the oil leak issue . |
