2006 Mini Cooper won't start after Car wash...But I think I found the problem
Hi, I want to share with you guys....Just in case you run into the same problem :)
It happened every time I went to wash my mini. It wont start after a few hours... and finally my mini did not want to start at all. I said F*** now what? Went to the web and searched... 3 suspects in the scope 1:- Ignition Switch 2:- Immobiliser 3:- Starter Took off the Ignition switch and did not see anything wrong with it. Went to check the Starter I said F*** where is it??? That damn starter is under the manifold and in order to take it out you have to take the manifold apart I said sh**.... But I din't do it until I checked my immobiliser. I found a freakin hole under my hood and water went in to my immobiliser. http://s3.amazonaws.com/amazon-cl2/W...CQQKAFA7CS.jpg http://s3.amazonaws.com/amazon-cl2/A...HCQBX6PUBX.jpg http://s3.amazonaws.com/amazon-cl2/1...P8S0NHJ3LD.jpg I ordered the part from the Local dealer $215.80 for the Immobiliser. |
Fix that leak!
Is it coming in under the windshield? Or somewhere else? Please post pics when you find and fix it for future visitors to the site! |
