I have my Mini Cooper in EL Salvador, Central America and unfortunately there is no Min i dealership here. I have tried to take it to the BMW dealership but they sometimes cannot figure the car out.
Any idea how I can purchase a TIS service manual for a 2003 Mini Cooper S? I have seen them in Ebay but am afraid to purchase it through them. thanks |
I bought one off of ebay. It was about 20 bucks and it was a copy but it works fine on my pc. I can copy one for you but honestly, I dont get the chance to goto the post office very often so it may be some time before I could send it.

Please this post if you are considering purchasing a TIS manual on eBay. That seller was banned from NAM after posing as his own customer (several times).

I've my Mini in Mexico and believe me, the BMW dealers ignore a lot of techical data about the car.
I've bought the CD's from Ebay, and I was expecting much more information from them...the cd's carry an electronical parts catalog (someting absolutely useless in latin america, you know what I mean) and a technical information system that figures some tips of how to make some reparations, but there's no electrical diagram or so if you're looking for it. |
You might want to keep the disc on your drive whenever you use the TIS......there is a LOT more info than you think. Also, keep in mind that the TIS is not a "MINI for Morons" type document. It is a set of instructions that assumes a professional mechanic, that has been trained on the MINI is looking at it. The BEST USE of a PARTS manual, particlarly the schematics is to figure out what goes where and in which order.
