Is this update suppose to improve/fix the dreaded "Yo-Yo"?

Well, that's what we're hoping for!

However, there still needs to be three levels of confirmation on this:

(1) that v.37 is ACTUALLY OUT (dealers making upgrade appointments);
(2) that v.37 is supposed to FIX THE YO-YO (Hello MINI???);
(3) that v.37 ACTUALL WORKS!

When all three are confirmed, I'll get excited...stunned, but excited.

Ryan said that a "credible source" told him that V37 has been scrapped and in its place V38 is to be released shortly.

So who's got the story straight?

I read over at MINI2.com a couple of UK MCS owners that claim the yo-yo has gone back only 100 miles after the V37 took place.

What is a Yo-Yo effect? I got the car last Saturday and I can feel little unsmooth at 2000-3000rpm. Is that the yo-yo effect?

It's my understanding that it is supposed to fix the "cold start" problem only... that's what I took mine in for today. They wrote over my Superchips ECU code (which I'll get back in a few weeks)... but the "butt dyno" is having a real hard time telling the difference between v37 and the Superchips code!

I had v37 installed last Weds, (so it’s out there) I had previously had v36 and had picked up a lope (sp?) in the exhaust sound. Almost like a cam'd out airbox vw. It was only noticeable after a lengthy drive and only then when stopped and idling.

v37 has, at least for now, removed that, and by butt dyno, has improved throttle response and initial pickup.

I never had the yo-yo, issue so can't say about that.

I just had a software upgrade installed yesterday on my MC, but I forgot to find out which version it is...is there any way of finding out?

When I dropped my car off for v37 flash, I also left a list of the programmed features for them. :smile:
