Flap on vanity mirrors broke off
Flap on vanity mirrors broke off
I have saved them in case I can fix them somehow. Can I or do I need to toss them and get whole new visors? If not how, if so where has the best prices? I may look at the wrecking yards...
quick check on a visor for GEN1 is $116 .....
note there are different parts by year, hard top vs rag top, and colors . . .
quick check i did, found only the entire unit but you probably want to check REALOEM and see if there are sep'lt orderable parts.

If your car is still under warranty, mine is 4 yrs/50k miles, then just take it to the dealership and they'll replace it for free. One of mine broke off a while back and Moritz replaced it really quickly. (Tony was my SA) If your car isn't under warranty, then you might think about leaving it as is unless it bugs you. The flap doesn't really serve a purpose from what I can tell. This happens on a lot of MINIs so all of the DFW dealerships should be accustomed to making the repair. Good luck!
