Check Engine Light - P15DF and Misfire on Cylinder 2
Upon starting my car to leave work yesterday I got a check engine light. I pulled the codes and I have P15DF (High Pressure Fuel Pump: Cold Start Pressure Low) and a Misfire on Cylinder 2. My car is a 2011 MCS with 51,000 miles, so it's out of warranty and the extended HPFP warranty does not apply. Anyone with any experience with these two codes together? Could it be dirty injectors, or do you think it's definitely the HPFP? I've tried searching but couldn't find this combo of errors. I can replace the HPFP myself, but I would like to make sure that's the problem before I start throwing parts at it. Any help you can offer is MUCH appreciated.

Mine is an '11 too but they said it's not covered for the N18.

I'm having the same issues with my 2012 Mini Cooper S. Misfire in 2 and Low pressure in fuel rail. P0087 and P15df I'm in CA and we have a 7 year 70k warrant for emissions. The HPFP is listed and covered under that warranty. I just spoke to 2 mini dealers today. Check your owners manual, hopefully you are covered and it will save you $1000-1500. Im setting up my appointment tomorrow.

2011 Clubman S here, was throwing occasional random misfires on 2 cylinders, progressed to steadily throwing on all 4 and P15DF over the period of a few weeks. Only on cold start. Happy to report that it was the HPFP and it was fully covered! Excellent service from Warwick Mini in RI, they treated me very well, especially considering I showed up with a used car that I bought somewhere else.
