An interesting noise I've never heard of...

Hey guys so my mini is an 08 S, with only 36k miles. I've had it for almost 2 weeks and it runs great. But since I've had it I've noticed a strange sound that doesn't make sense to me, and I am familiar with many different sounds...

It sounds like a high pressure fluid spraying the firewall from a clogged nozel that doesn't allow a consistent stream. OR another way to describe it is sortof like lightly crinkling a small piece of cellophane paper...??

The sound comes from the drivers foot-well behind the pedals, and I've noticed it occur mainly between 1.2 and 3k RPM, mostly in 1st and 2nd gears, and occasionally in 3rd if I drop the rpm low enough, but that's it. There is also no rhyme or reason to the sound, it does it sometimes but not all the time, and mainly with a slower acceleration as opposed to quicker acceleration.

There are no leaks I can see anywhere, and the car seems to run and drive just fine.

Anyone??

Thanks!

Yeah I know, I tried with my phone but it couldn't really pick it up. Maybe the camcorder will have more luck.
