Boot door won't open
 

I have an 05 Cabrio and my trunk door is no longer opening. It's not even making the sound when you hit the latch. I have no clue what the problem could be. I've always turned to NAM when I've had probs and have always found what it could be or somewhere to start.

I've searched on here and could find nothing. :confused: Maybe I'm not doing a good enough search. If anyone has dealt with this or has any clues please HELP!

Bet the handle switch is corroded....
New boot handle is the simplest fix...you can take it off, and use some contact cleaner...but if the switch is unsealed, it will happen again....the rubber by the button tends to tear...
They are sold primed or chrome I think....you might be able to move the painted part to the new one..
if you want/need access to the trunk, the 2005 should have a cable under the rear seat...pull it, and the trunk should pop open.
