Mini Convertible: Top won't go all the way down

I have an '07 Mini Cooper Convertible. I believe its the R52 even though its an '07.

I can get the sunroof opening just fine but when I try to put it in stage two it won't work. I've checked if the rear shelf was all the way down. It was... I juggled it made sure it was hitting the button.

I lowered my windows all the way down, and all the way up, 3 times.

I don't know what else it could be. I was thinking of taking it apart and going to try a DIY. Its not under warranty anymore.

Any ideas or places I could go to for help?

Convertible Top Not Going Down

Look on the left side of the cargo shelf. The rubber foot should be pushing down on the sensor.
