Where's my ripcord

My rear hatch microswitch is in need of replacement. I open the manual and it tells me hatch release is under back seat. I remove seat and no handle or cable in site. Looks to be a bracket there to mount one though. Have I become a victim of UK assy line blues and it was never put in. I ended up taking out the switch assy and jumping wires to open hatch but what gives? Any sources for the microswitch?

I know some of the earlier years were missing the emergency release. I have an extra sitting in my stash from the one I removed from my '04 MCS if you really wanted one!

How much you selling it for? If mplatt911 doesn't take it, I'm surely interested.

I would like the one you have RyePhile. I was creative and jumped the switch wire to get it to release, but this is wifeys car and she surely would like a way to get into car if it happens again. A quick tutorial on install would be good too I already went to radio shack and bought a 2.99 microswitch, soldered it up and gooped it with silicone. See how long she holds up.
Thanks

Replied to your PM mplatt911. I only have one, so if it goes through then accept my apologies Alerious!

I think placing these rip cords at the factory is a joke for these workers. Mine in my 05 is under the seat where its supposed to be. My cousins 08 had the plastic pull just thrown under the back seat and there was no metal wire attatched to the latch. My mom's 07 was hidden behind the back passenger trim pannel wtf!?
