$500 Oil pan gasket=too much?
Hi Guys:

My MCS has about 75K miles on it and it looks like it needs a new oil pan gasket. I know it is a PITA job to do. The local shop wants $500 for this job. Is that too much? How much do dealers charge?

Seems high to me, but I replaced mine myself, for just the cost of the gasket. Less than $40. Someone experienced should be able to do it in 2 hours or so, so $250 at most? (just a guess)
