Mirror caps fading! Warranty?

So I noticed something today that disturbed me a bit... My checkered mirror caps are fading! The top half has an unsightly yellow-ish tint on all the white areas, but the underside looks crisp and white still. I tried rubbing it out to make sure it wasn't just road salt or something discoloring it, but no luck.

Has anyone else had mirror caps fade? Do y'all think it would be something worth asking the dealer to replace under warranty, or would it fall under normal wear and tear?

Yeah, my checkered mirror caps faded and turned yellowish after a couple of years... at least where the clearbra film did not cover.

I never considered trying to have them replaced under warranty. I guess it's worth a phone call to your SA to ask.

I just purchased a new pair of caps and replaced them myself.

I've had mine replaced under warranty two times already; they seem to last about 2 years before they are really yellow. Just call the dealer and they will take care of you.
