Oil mess around filler cap?

Anyone have an idea as to what would cause an oily mess around the filler cap like this... (the cap is all the way tight).

The dealer has done all oil servicing so far.

Thanks!

See if the O-ring, just below the threads on the cap, is o.k. or there. (item #4)
If so, probably just sloppy workmanship, or the person doing the filling
has a depth perception issue. If the O-ring missing or FUBAR have the dealer
give you a new one. At the very least bring it to their attention.

Must be a depth perception problem!

The O-ring is still in the cap. But will have the dealer double check it tomorrow.

probably sloppy oil changes

I'm hoping it was just a sloppy oil change as I'm not using that dealer again! I'll just do them myself from now on!

I know there's an internal clicking to prevent over-tightening of the oil cap, but are we supposed to tighten till it clicks or stop before it reaches that limit? I know I can be too rough with stuffs sometimes, and don't want to break the cap.
