To all 2008 automatic mini S owners... This is the FIRST KNOW PROBLEM AS THE FACTORY, New Jersey entrance shop inspectors, Mini dealer, Northwest mini in Tacoma WA FACTORY REP, SERVICE FORMAN, HAS HAD,, To learn and understand the process of Trying to fix this clubman, Search " 2008 clubman automatic transmission problem " You will be able to read the step by step process in Trying to fix my clubman s.. Let me tune u in a bit.... This clubman has 3200 miles and most ppl would think it is new.. it went down with it's problem Last Thursday and has been with the dealer in Tacoma. The post was to alert all mini owners of such an issue and how they totally shocked with it's issue.... I hope this helps your confusion... if you have any other concerns feel free to post them.. 8-28-08 pst time 2pm.... I spoke with the service writer that is handling the P.R with owners... They have replaced every thing under the hood that could be causing the misfiring on all cylinders.I suggested that there is a short or a pinched wire in a harness causing this issue.. Well today he told me the they have the dash out and are replacing the Key module so the key assembly is hanging out of the dash, also there are 15 individual modules that could be causing this misfiring issue.. Their testing equipment for the 08's does not have the ability to single out these individual modules conditions so they have to tear the modules out and replace them one at a time.. As I stated yesterday that it probably is in a wire harness and today he said they are replacing the harnesses that relate to each module... Today is only Day 7..i alerted them that at day 23 I will request another Clubman s, but I feel it is just time to fine the problem.. They will rent me a car next week... I will keep you all posted....
Where does it say they have a time clock ticking for replacement???? I call the 800 mini line and asked them and they said there is NOT time line for the fix and no replacement has been even mentioned.... Typical 800 complaint line ppl .. I was told the in the manual it states that a specific problem Must be fixed or a replacement is in order..... I do not have my manual as it is the car... Oh well.. "THIS TO SHALL PASS"

catguy, Washington state DOES have a lemon law. They have 30 days to diagnose and fix this problem, or they owe you a new Clubman. NW MINI is well aware of the lemon law as they are supposed to give you a copy of this pamphlet before you take delivery of your car. I received a copy of mine before I walked out, and you should have too.

The clock does not re-set if they send you home with the car and you send it back to the dealership for the same problem. That is the purpose of the lemon law. Whoever said there was no clock ticking on this repair was not versed in Washington's lemon law and you should speak to their supervisor, because you were lied to.
