Driver side door won't close !
 

I had two (related ?) problems. The first was that the driver side door wouldn't open from the inside. This had happened before and at that time the bowden cable had just came off the hook. At that time, I slipped it back on. When it happened again this time the cable was in the hook but wasn't generating enough pull so I replaced the bowden cable. The other problem happening concurrent with these is that the driver side door has a hard time closing (ie the latch engaging). It's slightly easier to close from the outside with a very firm push right at the edge of the door but it's really tough from the inside. Short of ripping the lock and/or the actuator what else can I do ? Anyone else with a similar issue ?

Applied white lithium grease into door latch both from door edge side and from inside. Not much difference. Door continues to be hard to latch..
