Sunroof won't close
 

Hi all; after an evening cruise my sunroof won't close. It tries, but feels like it is straining against something, then reverses to full open. I've read prior threads about greasing the tracks but this doesn't sound the same? I even tried pushing on the back edge while closing and it does the same.
Any ideas?

Sounds like it needs to be cleaned and lubed.

I had the same thing happen where it was making an awful noise almost like it was either off the track or something was keeping it from closing. It turned out that the seal on one side was starting to come loose. I put the seal back in, cleaned and lubed the tracks really well and then it was fine. That was about a year ago. I've noticed in the last couple of weeks that it's not closing as well as it was so I'll probably have to clean and lube again.

I'd try that first to see if that's the problem--it certainly can't hurt.
