Door Won't Close

So this is the first issue with my MCS (built in September 07), Ive had the car since October and hit 7000 miles this morning. Tonight I got into my car closed the door and proceded to go down my driveway, until the warning tone alerted me to the driverside door being open. No matter how many times closed it, it kept saying the door was open, the window wasnt moving up all the way to properly seal, and the lock wouldnt go down. I had to slam the door much harder than I ever want to do again just to get it to do its door closed procedures. Passenger door works fine. Im gonna call the dealership tomorrow, but I wanted to see if anyone else has experience this.

So, the door actually closes and latches, but the sensor that confirms the door is shut isn't registering correctly? Have you looked at that plunger/sensor to ensure it's operating correctly? It would be good to narrow down the cause a bit before going to the dealership for warranty work.

Good luck

Correct, the door closes flush and latches, but doesnt register electrically and the lock wont go down. Im gonna check out the sensor in the morning.

I know my doors always had a strange clunk when closed but as they get used the clunk now sounds more like a normal door closing. Did any one else's doors clunk at first?

Im gonna bring it to the dealership on Friday for them to check it out. Im also gonna have them do an oil change while Im there. Should I take out my BOV spacer or do you think they wont notice it?

Took it to the dealership today, and they told me it was probably a software issue. It took about an hour and a half to do all the updates. They also told me that there was a code for something called Super Knock, something they had never seen before.
