Electric rear view mirrors don't work

I've had mine for about 1200 miles and no real problems yet. There are a couple of minor trim issues, but the most annoying thing is that the electric rear view mirrors don't work and haven't worked since the day I took delivery. Because I live about 100 miles from the dealership, it's not worth making that trip for just the mirror issue. Guess I'll just wait until it needs service. Anyone else had this problem?

I did with my first R56; the fuse blew and the switch was also broken.
Start with the fuse...

Thanks. I thought of the fuse. As far as I can tell, the rear view mirrors are not fused separately but are apparently fused with something else. I can't find anything else electrical that doesn't work, so that sort of rules out the fuse. If it is the switch, it looks like I would have to remove the door panel to check. I think that I will leave that to the dealer. Thanks again.

Some folks have reported that the fuse for their mirrors wasn't installed at prep time either...
And some have stated that they had to give their mirrors a little whack to get them motivated to work.

Time to visit your dealer.

The fuse for the side mirrors is F32- 7amp. If you have electric fold ins there is an additional fuse F20- 7amp.
