Engine won't try to turn over

SO... I replaced my transmission. Used the bentley manual, took waaay too long to actually complete the project, and otherwise everything has been very straightforward. Except one little naging detail. I turn the key, everything lights up, engine won't turn over. NO clicking, nothing, it's like I don't have the clutch pushed (I do, and I do hear the clicking of the clutch relay)
This is a crapshoot. But does anyone have any advice on this one?

Also just Checked the wiring going to the starter and it looks correct.
Battery is charged and in good condition
All electrical connections inside the engine bay look connected and tight

Check the micro-switch lock-out on the clutch... did it get attached/ rewired correctly (or like I usually do... backwards)?

Try starting the car (in neutral) without hitting the clutch...

If that doesn't work, try Step 2:
check the DME relay.

(Assuming that you car does NOT have the alarm system)

Yep sounds like the lock-out.

Now I don't remember taking off wires for a lock out, are we talking inside the car or in the engine bay?

Make sure the car is in neutral then use a magnet on the master cylinder where the lockout switch is to seee if it will start, sometimes if the switch is bad thats how the start the car at the dealership.

If this works then it could be a problem with how the clutch is installed.
If your clutch pedal is very hard to depress that can also stop the switch from working.

okay, did some diagnosis tonight. We found that I was Getting power to the main terminal on the starter. We jumped the starter and it did spin. I am getting power to the Smaller wire on the starter which looks like it's coming from that anti-theft key coder gizmo (technical term) When I have the clutch depressed and the key turning over. SO it looks like a bad solenoid.

I spent the past 30min taking out the header and starter so I can take it in and bench test it tomorrow
