Banana'd Lower Control Arms

Just had my car in for a bad clutch slave cylindar, seems like theres been quite a few people in as of late for that. I got a call earlier from the dealership, that when they were doing a quick check of everything, they noticed that my lower control arms were bent, both more resembling a banana instead of being straight... They did not want to warranty this at first, but after I remembered that the last time my MINI was up at the dealership (2 months prior) it was on a flatbed and they cinched it down with straps thru the multilinks, behind the struts, and thru the rims, they agreed that this is what more than likely caused the damage. This would have cost me over $2000 dollars for parts and labor. Just a heads up, be sure you watch the tow truck driver carefully, and make sure you ask MINI to check everything out when you have it towed up there. Thank goodness for a good and understanding dealership!

thx . had mine on a flat some time back but the driver was very experienced; took his time to look it over and decided to strap the tires .
