MINIs on the Mac: Who's in?
 

MINI of Grand Rapids is organizing a Guinness record attempt for the longest MINI parade, and to stage it crossing the Mackinac bridge in Michigan. Scheduled for August 3rd, they have info on their dealer page at:

IIRC, they need 1450+ or so to break the record, and are asking for RSVPs to see if they can get enough interest.

Just 700'ish miles to Mackinaw City, MI, the rally point. We're going; drive there on Friday, stay over, enjoy the parade and afternoon fest in St. Ignace, MI on the UP, stay over Saturday night for the Bayside Music Festival, drive home on Sunday. We're planning on a quick trip (40 miles or so) to Ontario at some point just to say "yeah, my MINI's been to Canada" and try to score some weird Canadian beer (just enough for private consumption).

Thought I'd mention it...could be a fun weekend, very doable from STL!
