MOTD- who's going

Sorry if this has been covered but I could not find a link. I am wondering if anyone from the St. Louis area is headed to the Dragon? This is my first time going & I am looking for do's & dont's.

We are headed out to the Dragon also. This is our first time also, so I don't think we would be much help.

What day are you leaving?

I am also travelling from MO will leave sometime Wednesday not sure exactly, kinda wating to see who else from our area and points west are heading through..

Not going! We've been there many times & are heading south in May with MINI friends. My advice to all of you is be very, very careful. The Dragon is dangerous!!!!!!! The police patrol it like crazy because of all the stupidness that goes on. And never, never go over the center line or your MINI will be sporting a motorcycle for a hood ornament. If you really want to drive the Dragon, do it when there aren't 500 MINIs around!

You will have a good time, meet lots of MINI folks & see some beautiful country. Just please be safe!!!!

go down at least 3 days early and play on the dragon during the weekday. the weekend of MOTD it is insane. Hellbender is another fun road, but you will get a little cocky on it after being on the dragon, if you don't watch it you will have problems. I experienced this firsthand by coming into a corner too hot, got dirty but no damage. go into the park and take the skyway awesome drive. MOTD was fun but driving around by myself was much better. there is so many cool things to see down there. Do not miss the brewswap

We are leaving on Tuesday around 5pm.

Oh, I can't get off work until Thursday. Looks like we are leaving bright & early Friday
