'Holy swirls, Batman!' is right!
I was quite surprised at all the elegant cars with poor paint maintence
And the rubber/plastic trim on some of the classics was atrocious.

It's that reason why when I hear from these "old timers" that they have been detailing for longer than I've been alive, or are national judges for car shows and therefore have some sort of credibility and don't need to follow directions on a bottle, that it really doesn't mean squat.....but I know--I see it all the time. =P
For the rubber/plastic--I can believe that--that stuff ages and is nearly impossible to replace or source, so most of the time, the 30+ year old plastic is left there.
