Refreshments will be served and it says "Drive-In" event, so they may be putting up a huge outdoor screen. Also, no one under 13 years old due to the movie's rating I guess. Your MINI is your ticket in. No other cars will be allowed. They must get and confirm your RSVP though, so CALL (323) 956-4841 and RSVP!!!!!!!!!

 

My guess is they'll call back tomorrow during standard "business hours" (8-5?) to the phone number you left and go in order of message received. I haven't gotten a call back tonight since I left a message, but I'll leave my phone on all night just in case. This is exciting. Not many people check the owner's lounge regularly, so the word hasn't spread yet... it will now.

Has anyone who called and left a message since last night after 8 PM gotten a call back yet? I called again, but still no live person answers. Who knows... maybe they've reached their limit. Anyone that talked to them get an idea of how many cars will be allowed???

I agree, they really waited until the last minute. I'm not pleased with the way either Paramount or MINI USA handled things, but at least this is something and I still want to go. If we go, we show them something... we're above this and we're strong as a group with or WITHOUT them!

However, if they limit it to 30 cars or something sad, I say we still show and park across the street where the news vans can see up and break out our picket signs

Also, it is pretty ODD that they insist on calling people back. Every Premier/Cast screening I've been to was just a call in to confirm their list. But then again, they are dealing with A LOT of non-film industry strangers like ... well, like you and me...
Even though I'm sure some of us have worked in films and even worked ON the paramount lot... they don't know us.

Good Luck. (and there is nowhere to park across the street.)

I bet it's full. 30 seems like a puny amount, but they have to consider all the other people in attendance.

FWIW, It still rubs me the wrong way the way MINIUSA came in late in the game and now gets to claim victory. You did a lot of the ground work for this. They should be calling/pm/e-mailing YOU to thank you and make sure you're invited.

I'm in!!!!

They give you a password, ask for your roof color and if you have a sunroof or not (I'm thinking for ID purposes, to lineup cars, or to give us temporary decals to put on for a cool arial photo?). They're accepting 200 cars!!!! Only have about 100 call-ins so far (he hasn't called them all back yet either), so he is calling them back as soon as he can. There is still a good chance you can get in... 200 MINIs is a lot! Don't give up yet.

Also, the SCMM treasurer, Paul Barr, does not have a MINI. Yes, it's true... he devotes his free time to help out our group and doesn't even have a MINI... YET! So, if someone who has not yet confirmed and given them the name of your passenger would be kind enough to let Paul come along as your co-pilot, I would greatly appreciate it and so would he! Send me a personal message if you can do this, I'll confirm with you and give you Paul's cell number.

Well I did some testing, It looks like just the roof colors alone would make it very hard to see an image with only 200 cars. If they arange us by body and roof color then they could spell out MINI with 20 wide by 10 tall:


A very rough MINI logo is possible, I guess it depends on if they give us something to put on our cars and or roofs.

 

Well why would they call or personally invite me if they pirated me? Hmm

Well they have enough room for 300 Mini's

Fat chance on bringing ANY type of recording device IE Digicams... they will confiscate them.

If they follow my plan, there will be somethign really cool to see....Maybe all 32 trashed MINI's including the Electric ones....
Of course the stars will be there.
