I payed MSRP, exactly the same as the website, and my only dealer installed option was the Ipod interface adaptor, which i was charged $275 for the install + the cost of parts which is listed on website.

$500 for an Ipod install IS infact highway robbery!!!
I have purchased two MINIs from Long Beach MINI in SoCal and paid MSRP, as designed on the MINIUSA website, both times. Don't feel sorry for us.

There have been numerous posts recommending SoCal dealerships since 2002 (when I bought my first MINI), many of which were posted by me. If folks don't do the research, they shouldn't be surprised about paying over sticker for their MINIs.

For Fresca ('05 MCc), we paid $2000 dealer markup from Irvine MINI.
For Floobie ('06 MCS), we paid $1500 dealer markup (discount for being a repeat buyer) from Irvine MINI.

For my November arriving JCW, we're paying sticker from Crevier. Crevier was ranked the #1 MINI dealership in SoCal for sales volume. Just remember that dealerships will always compete for your business. However, also consider the number of production slots each dealership has. You might be able to pay MSRP somewhere else, but you might have to wait a much longer time...or you might have to pay more since the dealership will have to pay to get another dealership's production slot.

You got some good choices...you'll love the heated seats. And don't forget to purchase the wind-deflector...get it from Classic MINI of Ohio (you get 20% off because you're a NAM member). It really makes a difference - trust me. A couple of us SCMM'ers also have the Garmin Nuvi-350 - it has been great!! You should also get the GTM-12 FM Traffic transmitter.

All the best for your pending MINI purchase.
