For details email me at matthewrohrbach@gmail.com

They make beer in SoCal? It has Starbuck's coffee in it, right? :)

The Dragon is really far away from Southern California!

It would be nice to share some Arrogant Bastard Ale with you all, though.

Haven't heard of Stone Brewing eh. :sly:

RCristiano Feb 8, 2006 11:10 AM

There's a lot of good beer around here. Even beer with coffee in it, which is great for early morning football games and stuff  Hooray for college!

BrewSwapGuy Feb 8, 2006 12:16 PM

Hey Bee, no arguing that it's incredibly far away. But where else are you going to get the opportunity to taste 2 dozen different beers(or more) from at least 19 different states and Canada?

Load up the MINI, throw in some arrogant bastard and I'll see you in may.

Hey - Clover is coming from So. Cal - send her a PM and maybe she'll load up Wanda with some... :)

Donna:cool:

FlynHawaiian Feb 8, 2006 12:43 PM

Hemp ale is good too :D

She'll be tending to the OT cabin and will be unable to make it.

I had a Chocolate Ale at a local microbrewery in Carson City the other night. Mostly it tasted like beer, but there was a very slight hint of chocolate in it. I think it needed a couple of teaspoons of Hershey's syrup in it, but it was good nevertheless. :)

I can't make it to the Dragon this year, but even if I could, I'm not sure how I'd get the Chocolate Ale there. I have been told it is only available on tap.

I think my bro (Miniwildcat) was planning to pick some of that up during his stint here and tote it with him as he makes his way back across country, eventually ending up at the Dragon. How 'bout some Red Trolley Ale as well?? I can make sure San Diego at least has some representation!

Stone Brewery
Firestone Walker (same family as the tire company and winery and Santa Barbara County Controller)
Karl Strauss
Josef Bierbittzch
Lamppost
BJ's
Central Coast Brewing
Copperhead
Gordon Biersch
California Brewing Company
Miller (even though it's crap. They have a large facility in Irwindale)
Saddleback Brewery

to name a few of the more notable, anyway.

FlynHawaiian Feb 10, 2006 06:16 PM
