I’m looking for somebody to do things like suspension upgrade installation. I’m way too old to put the car up on jack-stands and get under it a turn wrenches. Anybody have any recommendations?

How about wheel refinishers? I’d like to get my 17” alloy wheels redone in white.

I know of two Mini specialists in Orange County that specialize in vintage Minis but have extensive experience with the new MINIs. They are:

Heritage Auto
1701 Pomona Ave, Costa Mesa, CA 92627
(949) 646-6404
Fax: 949-646-6977
Graham Reid
Minis@heritagegarage.com

MinComp
1041 West 18th.
Costa Mesa,
CA 92627
949-650-3058
Bill Gilcrease

As far as the wheels go, I would find a good tire shop to R&R the tires then take the wheels to a good powdercoater.

No problem. I am sure that there are other shops. I am also a classic Mini owner and have known these shops for a long time and trust them 100%. In fact, I had my first Mini repaired at Mincomp 21 years ago and they just worked magic on my third Mini a few weeks ago. I plan to take my new S in for an exhaust and some suspension work in the near future. Where do you live, anyway? LA to San Bernardino is a big area.

I live in Rancho Cucamonga - - only been here about six months after living the past 10+ years in the Sierra between Reno and Sacramento. I sure miss all the great twisties!

Also new to the MCS - - only had it about three weeks, but find it to be a great mix of fun driving and utility transportation.
