This will give us a place to promote our club to a larger group, and help provide an idea of how active we are in the SOCal area!

Just to get the ball rolling, here's a listing of some of our upcoming "regional" events that are open to all:

Saturday, Feb 24, 2007: San Diego Region "Fourth Saturday of the Month (4SatOtM)" Breakfast in Escondido.

Sunday, Feb 25th, 2007: Orange County Region "Fourth Sunday of the Month (4SunOtM)" Get-together at the Neighborhood Cup in Aliso Viejo.

Saturday, Mar 1st, 2007: Los Angeles/Ventura County Regions "First Saturday of the Month (1SatOtM)" Breakfast at CooGie's in Malibu.

Saturday, Mar 10, 2007: Los Angeles/Orange County Regions "Second Saturday of the Month (2SatOtM)" Breakfast at Ruby's in Long Beach.

Sunday, Mar 11, 2007: Inland Empire Region "Second Sunday of the Month (2SunOtM)" Lunch in Claremont.

Normally, we would also be having 4th Saturday and Sunday regional events in March, but many of us will be at A MINI Vacation In Vegas (AMVIV)!

We've got lots more stuff going on all the time, but some of those activities are limited to registered members. More detail will be posted soon on regional events, as well as a sticky with general info about our club.

We're hundreds of members strong, so come join in the fun!

On behalf of SCMM, we apologize for taking so long to ask.

It's just that our own club website has really been the focus of our communications, and we just recently started noticing that new folks in our area were asking about clubs here. We have hundreds of members and lots of very visible activities, so we're all a little surprised when we encounter MINI-owners in the area who haven't heard about our club.

Starting up this area on North American Motoring is part of our approach to helping potential members find us.

Out of curiosity, did you ask Dave (NAM) to also set up a group calendar? I was a member of DC Metro Minis and they had a calendar on NAM that was very useful. You were able to view a month at a time and RSVP for events.

Last time I saw the car it was immaculate and in good mechanical shape.

But I haven't seen it in about 2 years.

The car is about an hour north, through the worst of LA traffic, from me.

cool ,I wouldn't ask you to drive through that mess.(unless you're going that way for some reason...? ) Mostly I'm concerned about all the engine mods. supposed to be 234hp at the wheels Looking for any problems and how well it goes and handles.

That is Paul's car alright. He logged into SCMM not too long ago advertising this car for sale. It is a very low mileage 2003 with some nice mods. I wish I had his Stoptech BBK.
