Yes I already have a dyno shop planned. Why would we need another shop to sponsor the RMW tuning?!?
I think he means that Way would be a good technical service person to have on site. What if something goes fishy with one of the cars and nobody has a clue how to fix it? This is why these tuning events are best held at knowledgeable MINI/euro service shops.
if you have any issues at all you should have your car looked at BEFORE you show up to the tune
Oh man really? I was thinking you would have some extra time and could look at my car. It has this rattle coming from the left rear. I can't seem to pin it down.
Good rule of thumb is to give your car a tune up and have a competent mechanic give it a once over for any issues before tune day. IE: Change the oil, new spark plugs, clean or new air filter and make sure there are no boost or vacuum leaks, exhaust leaks, cat functioning and IC is clean, etc.. All these things can and will effect the ability to tune properly and/or get the most from it.

2 cents
More importantly.... it will take longer on the dyno to tune if if you have a problem, thus costing more money just for dyno time.
Ask me how I know...

I think you'e mistaken.
The rattle is coming from the front left.
I'm pretty sure it's the loose nut behind the wheel.

My bad.....I didn't mean it that way ..sponsor may have been the wrong word choice. Way has a huge MINI reach in Atlanta.....he could possibly bring some more folks on board if needed.....just let him know it's in the works and let him spread the word.....that way if folks want in on it and want to do upgrades/troubleshooting prior to, he can/could help....

Reason: spelling
When is this tune date? I need to know at least a few weeks i advance so I can schedule the time off of work, etc. The cluster that was the NC tune left my car un-tuned and a bad taste in my mouth.
You know they are suppose to have a tune TOMORROW, right? I'm going to try to sneak it in. If I can, my spot will be open in GA.

I know about tomorrow. I work night shift and am unable to get time off with less than two weeks notice on a firm date. Hence my irritation at not getting my car tuned at an event that was originally mentioned six months ago. Now I'm going to have to drive to Atlanta, assuming a firm date can be settled beforehand, instead of an hour down the road.

It'll be worth it. I drove about 7 hours to go to KY for my first tune. Then I drove the same to FL for my second tune.
I am still trying to figure out if I can make it down for the tune. Will all the tunes be done in 1 day or 2? I just have a very tight schedule if I do make the trip.
