I'm trying to hook up with the bunch from Montgomery and Birmingham on their way to Huntsville, maybe around Cullman, but the depart time from B'ham will not get them to Huntsville in time for their planned depature because the time in Nashville has been moved earlier, I called Harold but he is at the beach with the kids, I can read but not post on the bamamini site, can anyone give me any help ?, revived leave time maybe ?, Thanks, Manuel Barje barje@bellsouth.net (256) 442-4905

For the BAMA folks you will need to meetup at the old Walmart Parking lot (now Hobby Lobby) at the Fieldstown Rd exit on I-65 N at 11:15 a.m. to depart at 11:30 a.m. for the meetup with the Rocket City group. Be sure to bring your two way radios and cameras.

Rocket City Mini are going to meet up at 1:30 leave at 2:00 (after BAMA joins them) from the cracker barrel in athens off I-65 . That is on Hwy 72 if you didn't come last year.

 

Rocket City Group is from where? And when you say Athens, do you mean Athens, TN?

Thank you MagicLady, I will be sitting on the side of the road somewhere in Cullman waiting on the bunch from the south to come by, I'm 70 miles north of the meeting spot in Gardendale so I thought I would catch them along the way, Manuel

 

The Rocket city mini group is from Huntsville, Al, we hope you can join us, looks like with the b'man group we will have maybe 20 car going to MON.:smile:

 

I'm also in cullman but will not be able to meet the group coming from bham I don't think. I was going solo up to hville to meet the rocket city minis there. If you are from cullman I could meet you about 1:15pm at hwy 157 to head up together. I have something going on that day that keeps me from getting there any sooner.

 

One more note. Be sure to bring the two way radios. Set them to 7-21 and if you want to join the carvan just listen for us on the radios or call out on the radio if you think we should be getting close. I think last year we did pick up two Mini's on the way up.

 

I'd like to fall in @ Columbia, TN. That would be @ the Bear Creek Pike ramp onto I-65. If you leave Athens @ 2:00, you should cross Bear Creek around 2:40 or so, eh? (That is unless Golfman was leading. In that case ~ 2:15...:smile: )

If this timetable is right, I'll be waiting by the Bear Creek ramp (IB/B MCS) on channel 7-21. You folks holler on the radio as you get close to Columbia, okay?

I am planning on heading up to Nashville this Saturday also. I'll be coming up from Paris which is in NW TN. so I won't be able to caravan.

Anyways, how many people were at this event last year?

I think we counted 100 mini's give or take a few .

 

I believe it's exit 46, Magic. Do make some radio noise before you're actually here, so's I can get a running start. I missed an exit last year & chased the caravan a good 75% of the way before catching up. Darn speedfreaks...
