BMC - Are we meeting 4/6 at the George and Dragon's Pub?
I feel so bad for forgetting the First Meeting of the Broward MINI Club. We did leave at 10:30 am today as reported. I did have my BMC shirt on. But it never hit me until Cathey called and asked if I was coming. We went to breakfast and then to Tarpon Springs for an hour of window shopping. (She made me) Then we went across Highway 60 to the turnpike.(She made me again) It took way longer than expected. Then we got on the turnpike in YeeHaw Junction and got stopped on it for about 45 minutes because of a really bad accident. I know this is no excuse but really I just totally forgot  And if you feel like it please call me or e-mail me with what occured during the meeting I really would like to know. Again I am sorry.
Ok Buce,
Space cadet me finally figured out what time we were meeting and managed to rush over in the nick of time.
Ok, for an update, May 4th there will be a meet at the Lauderdale Mini service department for a Sunday Brunch and Tech Session. Time to learn all those things about your Mini you never knew you wanted to know.
April 26th there is to be a meet at Dave and Busters, check the Broward Mini Board for updates as to times and such.
T-shirts are now available, $8.00 small to large, $10.00 x-large. (Shoot! Ran off and forgot to pick mine up!)
April 12-13 there is a Grand Am race at Homestead. I'm checking with BMW CCA to see if they'll allow us to join their group in the infield.
Since this group is for and about us, input is requested from all (wanna-be) members for ideas from club events to get togethers.
And last but not least, Aimee was nominated as president but said she was not ready to fill that post yet, even though everyone agreed she was doing a great job in the interim!
We've not started talking about by-laws or any of the other hum-drum part of the club since we're just trying to get a gauge of interest first. We'll work out the details later.
If I missed anything, will the rest of the group please pipe up!

Cathy made up some good titles for us, but I forget them...duh?!?!?!
I explained on Sunday that I wanted our club to be "open," so everyone has a "say" in what happens with our club, so I didn't want anyone to be assigned a certain title....
I have a lot on my plate right now that I would hate to be the person responsible for the whole club.

Understood...I like the idea of the club being setup that way. Damn I am still pissed I missed the meeting. Anyway, I know you have a life besides the MINI and the Club. School comes first, then the job and then Tim or is he after the MINI? Anyway I can help out please feel free to ask me.
Updating my portion of events.
April 12-13 Homestead Grand Am Race. We are invited to join the BMW Corral in the infield. Details are sketchy at the moment since this has turned into a last minute thing but we do have clearance. Prices have not been posted as of yet.
BMW CCA could use some voluteers from our group to help man the hospitality tent(mine by the way). Also someone to help arrange cars as they arrive.
We have also been invited to join in the after race festivities with the SCCA. So plan for a long weekend if your into this.
Phone calls are still being made on about "The Italian Job". Watch that thread for details when they come available.
Foreign Afafirs has offered once again to do a Tech session for those of you who are unsure about doing upgrades to your Mini. They look forward to teaching those of you interested everything you never knew you wanted to know about your Mini and how to do many things on your own. They will also go over what various upgrades can and cannot do for your vehicle. Dates available starting in May so "Tawlk amongst youwrsewlves!"
And, last but not least, I cannot be secretary since I'm too old for the tight skirt and high heels. It wouldn't be pretty
