Up here in NER, the SMF class features a 400 WHP CRX with 10" slicks on the front end - now that is also fun...

dave marcus drives a miata, lehman has a gt3 not a turbo...bit of a shaky vid but the car looks fun.

Dominant is hardly the word I'd use for a SMF car 1.3 off a miata on street tires but to each his own :)

Humbled I am, yes, hardly the word, you are correct. Humbled further by my placement again this week, nearly 2.5 seconds behind that Miata, almost 4 seconds off the FTD.

Check this one out - fastest door slammer of the day - Central Florida Sports Car Club action at the Convention Center Parking Lot.

I guess it's all about the tires, right? If I spend $186 a tire for a super sticky that lasts 15 runs then I can buy the fastest time. Although I had to beat a few hondas on stickys most of the competition is in the street tire classes, probably because the Hoosiers and Hankook C71s cost so much. But, I'm in SMF because of the pulley, so I have to have the tires to compete in SMF.

Pulley = SMF = sticky tires.
