Let's Motor!

How about a forum named "Let's Motor" for people who want to get together and ride? There's a website called http://www.paddling.net for kayakers and canoer's that has a forum specifically for people to post when they want to go for a paddle and they're looking for others to go as well.

A typical thread title would be something like:
North Alabama Natchez Trace Saturday Jan 06.

And the text might read : Leaving Huntsville at 9:00 am from Gas Station at the corner of I-565 and Wal-triana Blvd.

Maybe I'm stupid though and overlooking something existing on your site like this, so if someone knows of this type forum here, please let me know.

This is an outstanding resource, folks, keep up the great work!

There are a couple of similar things...the first is to locate your local club forum on NAM. This is probably the best resource for finding others in your area that are interested in motoring.

The other is to use the Motoring Buddy finder over on www.c3club.org. Give it a try as well

Good Info Thank You

Thanks for the info (both of you). I have made contact with the rocketcitymini group and recently went on a toys for tots ride where we met up with the Birmingham group as well. In fact, on the toys for tots run, I was right behind a MINI with an upside down license plate. Does that make sense to you?

I thought that was you! I enjoyed flying around all the curves trying to remain stuck to your back bumper as best I could! Hahahaha. That was a fun ride!

Now why is the license on upside down. While camping with friends in Baja I say a truck for sale. It had massive tires and lifted with odd springy things. It had vendor stickers all over it, just like a race car, except they were all upside down. When I asked why they said it's the truck that they use to pre-run the Baja 1000. I asked again why upside down stickers. The answer was they wanted the sponsors to style be readable once they flip it on the trail.:lol: So I hope it's not for the highway patrol to ID you while you sit inverted off some curve.

My tag wasn't on upside down. My tag letters are INIW.
Hopefully no one will ever see my tag right side up
