I want to preface this by saying, "I am not a luddite." That said, I am having...

... one helluva time trying to figure out how to upload a signature.

Don't know if it's a mitigating set of circumstances, but I am a Mac user running OS X ver. 10.4.8, build 8L2127 normally using Firefox rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0.

Anybody got any pointers as to where I upload a sig from either my computer or my picture server?

Thanks in advance.

Signature upload is currently restricted to 19.5KB so if you sig file size is larger than that it will prevent the upload. Also be sure to check out Main Menu >> FAQs >> Gallery FAQs.

Size can't be the problem. For starters I haven't been able...

... to find out where to even attempt an upload.

Here's the file in question, likned from my photo server site...

... As you can see, the file is a bit less than 35.4% shy of the 19.5KB threshold.

Regarding the info in the Gallery FAQs section, in each of the web browsers I have used to day to access the site (Firefox, Safari, Netscape, Opera and the kludgy Mac OS X version of The Criminal Gates' I.E.) I have no "Edit Signature" option. Under the Settings & Options section of the User CP the following choices are displayed:

Edit Email & Password
Edit Profile
Edit Options
Edit Avatar

That's it.

Any suggestions?

2953, I wonder if it might have something to do with you having a brand new account - there may be restrictions on it that are not placed on the "average" account. Either Mark (mferguson) or Dave (Dave) will have to look into it though. When it is working, Edit Signature actually shows up first, right before Edit Email & Password.

Curious. Definitely check with Mark. Email or PM him.

I have never seen that before. I also use a Mac/Safari, with no problems.

Good luck.

He's still in neutral so maybe that is the problem as Edge said. 2953 get out there & make a few posts. I think you get out of neutral at 11 posts so make a few more posts & you should see the "neutral" under your name change to "1st gear". Maybe then the signature option will appear

Try hosting your sig on a site like Photobucket, and pasting the img tag into the sig box in your user's CP.
