Any idea why my new thread doesn't show up in the "New Posts" link?

1) Because you have already read it when you made it

2) Nobody else has responded to it

So it's showing up as new for everyone else but not for me because I have already seen it.

Not true, another forum member posted something and I checked on my login and it was not in the "New" posts thread on his login or mine. Same with posts that I have made and others have responded to ... nada.

It sure makes it hard to find a post that you read the day before and want to respond to today!

Look under your subscribed threads, that is how I find ones I have participated in.

There are plenty of ways to find your own posts, the issue is that in order to see what is going on at a site, most people lean on the "New Posts" and if a bunch of new posts aren't showing up for some reason it make the site look dead. When a site looks dead, it becomes dead.

I see, wondering if it is not a browser setting of some sort. I am currently extremely bored at work and check the new post at least once a hour. Every time I look, there are a bunch of newly listed posts. Maybe the MOD's will chime in.
