posting tool broken

I have noticed there has been frequent forum updates of late. Some good, some not so good. It seems that the posting (reply to a post or thread) is now badly broken.

There is no emoji, insert photos or images, links, etc. All there is is just basic provision for attachment and type your text in the box. Selecting Go Advance makes no difference. Here is what it looks like:

Oh, so much for me trying to insert a screen shot. I can't. Here is one ASCII emoji that I can provide: :-(

This is broken some time today as I made a post early on and it was OK.

I am just able to debug the problem to my end. Strangely when I tried different PCs all are fine except the iMac, which coincidentally I just installed Mojave OS. All these PCs/Mac use Chrome browser, with similar settings. I was pulling my hairs out as to why.

when it acted up the yellow highlighted icons were all absence

Eventually I suspect it is the browser's history or cookies, or cache that is causing the problem on the iMac. I cleared the Chrome's browser history and like magic the problem is gone. So it is a case of barking up the wrong tree on my part.:o
