First Time Poster

Why do first time posters get to sell in the Marketplace? Seems like a waiting period and a post count requirement would eliminate a source of scamming. I see way to many first timers come on and sell things. I'd never buy from one without serious due diligence.

Just a thought!

For me this is a "one bad apple spoils the whole bunch" type question.

I can see that if a minimum thread posting was required prior to a post in the marketplace, a person set on scamming will just make some posts in regular threads and then do the marketplace scam.

So, what does the membership think about this?????? Are the benefits of a newbie selling their car or MINI parts here, as the members have bought both, worth the chance of a rotten apple?

I'm with the moocher, the Mustang forum I belong to requires 50 posts. That pretty much keeps scammers out.

Is that an IB Mustang forum????

On the scammers, in the past year I think we had one member that we banned for sticking somebody and if memory serves me correctly the guy had over 400 posts.

AFM (All Ford Mustang). I don't know if IB owns them or not. Wife drives the Mini, I drive the Mustang. Two very different autos..
