Got this twice today while using the mobile site on my iPhone 8. I have to close the safari window and log in again.

Passing these up the ladder, but, from what I have heard, the Amazon pop-up is one thing but the virus warning may have nothing to do with NAM.

Rich R, can you repost the picture??? Not seeing anything on this side.

edited my post #26 from my desktop. Guess I haven't quite figured out how to put pictures in posts from my phone.

For what it’s worth, I deinstalled half a dozen apps from my iPhone yesterday. One of them was “Swapalease” which was installed around the time that the problem began. One or two others were also installed around that timeframe, mostly related to music/concert events, and are now removed.

Have not had a single pop-up since in the last 24 hours!

This may be an Amazon induced issue and there are still allot of folks off from the holidays. Anybody gone through the steps and won anything?

Use AdBlocker if you have an iphone/ipad. It blocks everything in app too.

Pretty easy to remedy guys..

regardless of what browser youre using.. download and install "Ghostery" from the browswer add-ons.. It blocks ALL background advertising ***** from any website. I have it installed on Mozilla and right now its blocking 16 ad tracking functions from the site that produce pop-ups. Takes literally 20s in install.. use the 'block everything' option. Ive used it for 4 years now.. dont have a machine connected to the internet without it actually.

Good to hear and thanks for the kind comment. We Mods do not work for money nor even food, just our appreciation for the MINI and the place we call NAM, a place that I will continue to stress would not exist if not for the folks that do the posting.

It is not resolved.

This weekend I replaced my Nexus 7 tablet because it had developed hardware issues with wireless connectivity. The replacement tablet is also a Nexus 7 and I reflashed it with Nexus 7 firmware from Google, installed Android and updated apps from Google Play. It is for all practical purposes a new device from the factory.

The first time I opened NAM in the browser, this popped up within a few minutes:

I could not dismiss the popup except by pressing OK, then it opened this webpage:

This only happens on NAM and the url it opens has a reference back to NAM. If I close the browser or navigate elsewhere and come back to NAM later, the popup opens up again. The NAM website is infected, and it seems probably all of Internet Brands as well.

I will pass this on but I do know that the pop-ups were not a true virus but rather a vendor induced issue.
