Other forums I use have a way to tag threads you've posted to or are interested in, and then a way to click a link and view your "subscribed" threads. Is there any way to do that here? It makes it alot easier to keep track of discussions.

Thanks

Currently the software in use does not support thread-based subscriptions. I am, however, working on getting the site migrated to a version that will. I hope to have an update on this in the next couple of weeks. Thanks

Mark

how is it going getting this info migrated over to a new forum program?
I would love this site to rival mini2.com's in its forum functions.
I do not visit them any longer.. they are banned in my book! (long story)
but I did love their forum prog.

The forum software itself will have many of the same functions that you found on MINI2 but the big differences will be look and feel in addition to how the forums will be integrated into the rest of the site. As far as the migration it is one of the most painful things I've had to work on. I have been writing a lot of custom code to migrate from the current system to several intermediate steps before getting it in its final form. Further more I have to do many tests to insure that I can repeat the migration process before I'll be able to do it for real. When the migration steps are ready I'll post something to the site that will give an overview of the changes, what to expect for downtime while I do the migration, etc. I'll also do this over a weekend to minimize everyone's impact. I hope to have some additional updates as I make more progress.

On a related note I have made the decision to upgrade to a higher performance server (dual processor xenon box with 2GB of RAM) and will announce when the cutover will be done. I expect that the cutover will occur over a weekend (in the next couple of weeks) to, again, minimize downtime for everyone.

Thanks

Mark
