Do you have to run spacers at all?

I have an 05 cooper s r53 with poor man's jcw kit (r56s brakes in the front). Stock Cooper s suspension with aftermarket rear sway. Planning on using these for autocross every month and 3 or so trackdays a year. So until they wear out.

 

I run 5mm up front and 15mm in the back to clear the trailing arm. I could be wrong, but I think 5mm in the back would work on an r53. A friend of mine has Rotas with the same specs, 5mm spacers and 225s, and doesn't have any issues.
