My Bad I think there may be a spacer on my wheels.. not sure as this is the first cooper I've owned and have only had it 1 month ...I had taken a photo of my rotor hat after I could not get the wheel on.... and after checking the internet none have what my wheel has on it...I will include a pic with the portion in pic in red .....this ring is the reason the wheels won't fit. Does anybody know what it is and can it just be removed?
Unfortunately It is raining right now (no Garage) and I can't check it till tomorrow but if anyone knows what this ring is give me a shout.

I have no Idea ...all I know is I ordered a set of winter tires from tirerack and the wheels I got were focals and they sent a center ring to go in the wheel before installing they fit perfect I had no reason to think there was anything odd...so I'm still not sure

Looks like the centering ring got left on the hub. Just pry it off with a couple of levers/screwdrivers.

The only thing that is still odd is the winter tire set up I purchased had center rings that they sent and I put on the rim before installing and this other ring was on the hub and it didn't interfere with the winter ones, but they were focal rims and not mini specific so maybe the bore in the wheel was larger and that's why they fit over it? I'll try it again tomorrow .
Thanks Again Spiney .....big sigh of relief!

+1 " Looks like the centering ring got left on the hub. Just pry it off with a couple of levers/screwdrivers."

Yea, these MINI wheels will fit all Gen 1 and Gen 2 MINI with 4x100 pattern and 56.1 CB ( which is most everything , except Countryman / Paceman and the New F56 MINIs+).

Its ok , looks like they aftermarket hubcentric ring was just stuck on there.

One other tip, I swap my winter to summer and back again after the season.

Wire brush the wheel hub and the face of the rotor where it makes contact then smear a very thin layer of anti seize, this will help fight the rust and make sure the wheels match up.

I am glad you go it figured out.

Talk about sigh of relief! When these wheels arrived I could not believe how nice they were ...and then when it wouldn't fit I was speechless because I really thought I might have to sell them.....I am so glad it was such a stupid anecdote....I also had ordered rotors and pads ...so I'll wait till they come in and do a thorough clean and paint the calipers before changing out the tires.

No problem , we are here to help. I would really be anxious on getting those wheels on too for spring.

Thanks for the order.

Is anyone else having problems with the runflat tires on these? I'm not a big fan of runflats to begin with, but for the price I figured I would just live with them. I recently installed the set of wheels for the spring (plus my inspection was due) and realized a couple days later that my right rear tire was completely flat I took it to my local tire shop and found that air was leaking around 2/3 of the backside of the rim. At the suggestion of ECS, they applied a copious amount of bead sealant as a remedy. The first trip after I got home I threw another TPMS warning. I figured the right rear had gone flat again, but nope -- now the right front tire is completely flat So I'll be taking that one back to the tire shop later this week. It seems whoever is mounting these is not too good at it.

Sorry to hear your issues, these are mounted from the factory by MINI. We have sold a bunch of these with no issues. Sounds like a bad seal on the bead for some reason, they just need possible to remount it. When you get these, they will need top off with air as sitting for a while they might be down some air. Did you double check the air before before mounting? Please PM me if you have anymore issues and I can help.

I definitely did check all the tires and fill them with air after they were installed. I'll be taking both tires back to the shop later this week to see if they can remount them.
