I think I posted this in the wrong place before. Megan coilovers that I installed just to realize that the neighborhood roads are not meant for these. Bought them new from WMW last week. Not a full day on the car. Letting them go for $650 plus shipping with your favorite carrier. The photo below is from the actual coilovers after being removed.
One of the top studs broke when mounting so I replaced it with a hardened allen head bolt. Same size and pitch as the other studs. Will outlast the other studs.
FWIW, I found the Megan setup instructions to be incorrect/misleading. They state that you should set the springs to 0 preload. Therfor most people will adjust to 0 preload and then mount, wich results in a terrible ride just off of the bump stops. The correct approach is to measure spring length with the car sitting on the wheels, then lift and adjust preload to that length (and adjust ride height accordingly). With this setup they offer a very nice street ride. I learned this in a thread somewhere on this forum after being completely unsatisfied with the ride quality of my Megans and assuming there must be some problem.
