2004 mc40 #54/1000
Year: 2004
Make: MINI
Model: Hardtop
Price: $10000
Mileage: 164000
Color: Red
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (Region): SoCAl
Last Spring I purchased #54 from the Original owner under the assumption it needed a new water pump. Turns out it needed a water pump and then some. I had Edmond at Mini World INC (Los Angeles) replace the old motor with a 67,000 mile 2006 motor as well as the following:
SuperCharger service
Water pump
Radiator
Coolant Expansion Tank-stainless
Motor Mounts
Front Ball Joints
Control Arm Bushings
Clutch
Power Steering Lines
Rear Pads & Rotors
Rear Axle Rebuild
A/C Service and Repair
Roof Trim
Right Front Wheel Trim
This thing would be MINT with fresh clear coat on rear bumper, hood paint touched up from road wear, and a new Carbon Fiber dash (discolored from sun-previous owner).
Next week I hope to have MINI World install a new windshield along with new oxygen sensors. That depends if I feel like driving the 100 miles in LA traffic to get it done.

After one year of owning my MC40 JOHN COOPER WORKS, I am toying with the idea of selling. I have only put 4,000 miles on it since replacing the motor. It just sits in the garage and does not get much use. I have considered holding onto it, but it needs to be driven regularly and I need to streamline.

I still have #54. I've lowered the price to $7500. Get it before someone else does.

Still have #54. Lowered again to $6500. I might have to part it out to get my money back.
Windshield, O2 sensors and Power steering pump (recall) all completed.
